Agricultural based business are special in that they also qualify as rural development. Under both rural development and agriculture a number of specialized business loans and grants are available; links to some of these grant providing agencies are included.
The U.S. Small Business Administration provides a variety of resources for new and existing businesses. They also staff Small Business Development Centers around the United States. These centers are a free resource for all U.S. business owners.
